Niseko is famous for the world’s best tree skiing in winter, but come summer and those same trees provide another thrilling adventure for green season visitors. Use your mind and body to navigate swinging bridges, suspended items, tightrope walks and Tarzan swings while securely harnessed into safety mechanisms. Tree trekking is an exhilarating activity for both kids and adults, combining physical challenge with the beauty of Niseko’s green season.
For kids, tree trekking can be more than just a day of fun – it can be a transformative, confidence building experience. As kids conquer each obstacle, they build self-esteem, develop problem-solving skills, and gain a sense of accomplishment. The courses are designed to challenge participants gradually, allowing children to push their boundaries in a safe, controlled environment. Parents will be amazed to see their little ones grow in confidence with each completed element.
Tree trekking is not just for young ones – “big kids” will find plenty of thrills to satisfy their adventure cravings. More challenging courses offer heart-pounding experiences high above the ground, testing balance, strength, and courage. As you navigate swinging bridges and zip between platforms you’ll feel a rush of excitement and a deep connection with nature.
Safety is paramount in all tree trekking activities. Participants are equipped with harnesses and helmets, and trained staff are always on hand to provide guidance and support. The use of advanced safety systems, such as continuous belay systems, ensures that you can focus on the fun without worrying about safety.
There are now tree trekking courses at the base of three of the four Niseko United resorts.
From this year, Niseko Village have newly installed a net tree trekking area exclusively for children under 110 cm! A variety of zip lines, ropes, hanging bridges, and nets offer a thrilling forest adventure for the whole family right in the heart of the Niseko Village resort. More information here.
This park provides eight courses with more than 130 features between 5-13m above the ground, right alongside Grand Hirafu’s Ace Family ski run. More information here.
Test your courage and problem-solving abilities across seven high ropes courses, including platforms to progress to with unique paths between each. More information here.
